1)docs folder has following three documents -tracking_methodology.pdf - describes the tracking procedure with relevant references -TIMPS_Documentation_v1-1_20210717.pdf - list and describes the MCS properties available in TIMPS dataset -MCS_lifecycle_stages.pdf - excerpt from manuscript by Russell et al (2023) that provides for definition of various lifecycle stages such as growth, mature, and decay. 2)TIMPS folder has a netCDF file with system properties for each MCS tracked within the domain -30 to 30 N and 100 W to 60 E, from Aug 01 to Oct 31, 2022. The netcdf file has variables corresponding to each property such as area, rain volume, centroid, propgation speed, and others. 3)Tracking_files folder has 2d-gridded IMERG precipitation and the corresponding MCS id for each precipitaiton grid cell. This allow for retrieving more MCS properites that a user wants but not available in TIMPS. 4)progs_to_read_data folder has sample python programs to read TIMPS data and lifetime properties
